string quartet, 2009. 7 minutes.
When I began working on this piece, I was very much interested in presenting homely music, or ugly or pointless music, just for the beauty and delight of it. I found however that I could not follow through with my plan, the sweetness of the sixth-tone clusters was too appealing, and I found myself indulging in the comfort and warmth of the sound. Most plans are perhaps better left behind.
